In order to download the Java Requirements for the program, I need to update to the new 10.8 Software which isnt an easy task for me since it would involve backing up my entire harddrive and reinstalling all my important programs. However my MAC is not able to run the JAVASCRIPT program because of the OSX version I am running(10.6.8).

In the "SAVES" folder, my Riverview 2012 is there, and I am still able to view the supposed "Riverview2012.sims3 backup." In my "Installed Worlds" folder, there it is, good old Riverview.world. I reopen the game and the status is shown as Downloading, however its not downloading, it never finishes ever after hours. The option to download Riverview is there, however when I click install, the game minimizes to my desktop. Second Issue, upon starting the game without launcher, I open download dashboard from within the game- where it requires you to sign in. My question is, How can I get the launcher to actually work with this ONE expansion pack that I have installed or will have to give up launcher for good? >The Base Game was last updated to the latest version 1.38. >I know for a fact that all of my custom content and packages are safe since I weeded out corrupted files and started a new game earlier today (hours before the EP install). I dont mind starting over, but would like Riverview. Before the install, I had RiverView, a few newbie saved sims, and custom content & packages. The game wants me to start fresh with the standard neighborhood. The Game started successfully without launcher and all of my neighborhoods and content are missing.
